The USB Turbo Quad utilizes Lucent’s QuadraBus technology, which allows a single PCI card to provide four independent Full Speed USB Ports. The Turbo Quad provides separate USB Host controllers. Each host controller provides the full 12 MB/sec USB bandwidth for low (1.5 Mb/sec.) and Full (12 Mb/sec.) speed peripherals. The Turbo Quad is an OpenHCI compliant board, which means it works with Mac and Windows based computers while providing significant USB performance benefits and reduced CPU overhead.
