Mastering Music, an incredible software program from Datasonics on CD-ROM, is distributed through Alfred in North America. Mastering Music is a structured set of over 400 music lessons including performing, composing, digital audio, notation, aural training, music theory and film scoring.
Mastering Music allows teachers with limited time, dwindling budgets and little or no technology expertise to implement music technology in their program. It's simple, self-paced and incredibly economical. It includes tutorial features for students, assessment tools for instructors and offers a flexible curriculum that can be tailored to the educator's specific objectives.

Site License
Ideal for traditional computer labs
A site license includes an unlimited license of Mastering Music for every computer within a school or school district. This is a fixed software cost plus a license fee per student using
the software. (Purchase the "Site License Student License" in the academic pricing section.)
Laptop License
Ideal for schools that provide laptops for each individual student.
A laptop license includes a license for each student (and teacher) laptop within the school. This is a fixed software cost plus an annual subscription license for a minimum of
50 students, and is based on the number of laptop licenses required each year. Mastering Music will run on each laptop from a central school server.
Site Network Annual Agreement
Required for ongoing support and product updates.
This is an annual licensing fee per student that that applies annually (one year after the original purchase date of a Mastering Music Site License). This annual agreement includes ongoing technical support and free upgrades to new versions and features of the product as they become available.
Web Connect
Ideal for schools that want students to be able to access the program from outside of school via the internet.
This license allows the Mastering Music lessons to be loaded onto the institution’s web site and for students to access these from home in order to complete their work. This option requires all students to have Music Master Professional™ loaded onto their laptop or home computer so is appropriate for those institutions with a laptop or student purchase agreement for Music Master Professional™.
