The VX series keyboards from CME include a unique combination of a USB MIDI keyboard controller with a USB soundcard.
The MIDI keyboard includes initial and after touch, which are velocity sensitive. The VX series keyboards offer a wide range of controls for working with your favorite software - in fact there are up to 64 controllers of various types! One of the first to include motorized faders, the VX keyboards also offer, knobs, trigger pads, a unique ribbon controller, memory buttons, and transport control buttons (i.e. start/stop/record, etc.) A feature missing from many other keyboards, the VX also includes inputs for a breath controller.
The VX also includes some built in MIDI songs and accompaniment in various styles. If you don't like the songs included, you can download additional songs and styles from the Internet and transferred them to VX via USB, making it expandable to meet your future needs. In fact, the VX has an expansion slot for future add-ons from CME, such as a sampler.
If you have other MIDI gear that you want to work with, the VX offers 4 MIDI Outs and a MIDI In, allowing the VX to play the role of a workstation. It also includes 2 mic/line inputs on ¼" connectors, line outputs and two headphone jacks for recording and playing back audio.
As with many keyboards, the VX is class-compliant, which means you won't need to install drivers to use the MIDI or audio features with your computer.
