Frontier Design Group’s TranzPort offers a way interact with your Windows or Mac digital audio workstation. Out of the box, it is compatible with all of the popular software, and allows you to arm tracks, use transport controls, set markers, control pans, punch in/out, start loops, and more. It is more than a simple remote (as evidenced by the price), as the TranzPort is actually a bi-directional controller - that means it can provide feedback to you on signal levels, timecode position, track names and more. This feature along makes it a tremendous tool since you will have access to the data you need from your PC. However, the Tranzport also doesn't require line of site. Using RF, and running off AA batteries, you can even mount the Tranzport to a mic stand or hook up a footswitch and operate up to 30 feet from your computer.
