The AudioFire 4 offers a great mix of options in a portable package. It includes 2 universal inputs with mic preamps that provide phantom power, and trim knobs for adjusting the levels when recording. This is always easier than trying to adjust levels in your software, so you can just plug in your microphones or instrument and record whenever or wherever you want. In addition to the 2 combo jacks, 2 1/4" inputs are available, and 4 1/4" outputs, the Audiofire has a stereo headphone output, 2 FireWire ports, S/PDIF I/O, and MIDI I/O. As an example how carefully Echo has thought about the design, of the Audiofire 2 has an extra Firewire port so you can add an external Firewire drive or any other Firewire device.
In addition to low latency ASIO and WDM/CoreAudio drivers Echo has included GSIF 2 drivers, making it the perfect system for Gigastudio users.
