The Omega studio offers mixer-like features that includes 8 inputs, 4 busess, and 2 outputs, instrument input and MIDI I/O along with metering and monitoring. Two dbx Silver Series preamps are onboard, capable of providing phantom power. In addition to the two mic channels, 4 TRS are available for guitars or keyboards, and a SPDIF digital in is available on the front panel, which I prefer to crawling around the back of my gear trying to connect devices. Channel peak indicators are available for each analog input as well as an assignable bargraph meter for the 4 recording busses. Keep in mind that the Omega is USB 1.1, which means it can only record up to 4 channels of audio.
The 1/8" headphone jack includes an amp for clarity while mixing. In addition to the USB sound card, the Omega studio includes Cubase LE so you can start recording right away. To make their bundle even more attractive (and useful for small studios), the Lexicon Pantheon VST reverb plug-in is included.
