'59 Bassman® LTD
Quite possibly the most famous guitar amp of all time, the tweed Bassman® is considered a must-have for any serious tone connoisseur. Originally conceived in the 1950s to amplify the newly invented Fender® Precision® Bass guitar, it was quickly adopted by quitarists who found that it was able to provide shimmering clean tones and a cranked up “crunch” tone that lent itself perfectly to Rock and Roll. That tone became the basis for the famous British “stacks” of the 60s and beyond. Played clean or distorted, from Rock to Blues to Country, with or without external effects, the ’59 Bassman® is the foundation for a wide variety of great tones.
'65 Twin Reverb®
One of the most distinctive amps of all time. It delivers a shimmering, pure clean tone that is perfect for any style of music, yet it will bark when turned up to arena volume. The Twin Reverb is known as the first popular “built-in effects” amp, with world-standard Fender Reverb and Tremolo. This is also a great amplifier for accentuating the character of external stomp boxes, making it an incredibly versatile platform to build on.
'57 Deluxe™
One of the first amplifiers designed by Leo Fender, and one of the most influential. The Tweed Deluxe provides classic compressed overdriven tones when cranked, and rich harmonic clean tones when played at low volumes. The Deluxe is a great amplifier for Chicago-style Blues tones, as well as Country and early Rock and Roll tones. Today, modern players of all stripes use a Deluxe in the studio to create their own “tone magic.”
'65 Deluxe Reverb®
A true classic that delivers classic Country and Rock tones, from Nashville to Liverpool. The Deluxe Reverb has a bright, punchy attack that is perfect for finger-picking, Garage-Rock...just about anything. The Deluxe Reverb is an amp that has been used on countless recordings due to its pure tube tone, great Reverb and Tremolo, and amazing versatility.
'64 Vibroverb™ Custom
A hand-wired reissue specifically based on Stevie Ray Vaughan’s original Vibroverb, as modifed by “Amp Doctor” Cesar Diaz. Its Blackface circuit and 15” speaker create a shimmering clean tone that is perfect for Jazz or Country. With the available “Mod” mode, the Vibroverb Custom can create the famous Texas Blues tone with its touch of preamp tube distortion and punchy mid focus.
Vibro-King® Custom
This modern Fender® classic provides incredible clean tones, unequalled touch sensitivity, and a thick overdrive character that will inspire artistic inspiration for any player. Engaging the FAT switch helps boost it into classic Rock distortion. The Vibro King® also contains Fender®’s unique ’63 Reverb circuit, which means this amplifier is a perfect choice for Country, Blues, and Surf players, as well.
Champion™ 600
The Champion™ 600 is an updated version of the classic Fender® practice amp, providing slightly more gain than the original model. With only a volume control, a clean, simple circuit with just one power tube and low wattage, its distinctive reedy tone has been used on countless Classic Rock recordings.
Super-Sonic™
A marriage of classic Fender® tone and modern versatility, perfect for everything from vintage clean tones to 70’s-style Classic Rock crunch to modern Metal and Punk. Its independent cascading gain stages and custom EQ allow guitarists to create a huge variety of both vintage and modern harder-edged distorted tones, all while retaining that unmistakable Fender® character.
MH-500 Metalhead™
Designed from the ground up to provide the perfect amp for modern down-tuned and 7-string guitarists, with a searing gain and a punishing low end that is perfect for more agressive styles of Rock and Metal. Its solid-state power amp gives enough headroom for incredible note definition even when distorted, and the preamp has an unmatched amount of gain for lead players.
Pro Junior™
The Pro Junior, with its single volume and tone controls, is a unique marriage of classic Fender® tone at low volumes and angry bite when cranked. This amp is excellent at achieving touch-sensitive overdriven studio tones, and players everywhere have discovered the simple joys of plugging in and turning up the volume for simple, pure Blues and Rock performance.
Bassman® 300 PRO
The Bassman 300 PRO produces warm all-tube bass tone and combines it with modern flexibility. Features like 10-band graphic EQ, mid-notch switch (great for slap playing), two-band studio-grade compressor, and clean and overdrive channels make the Bassman 300 a great choice for any bass player.
TBP-1 Bass Preamp
The TBP-1 is a truly professional tube bass preamp designed around Fender’s passive tone stack (used in classic designs such as the Twin Reverb® and Showman®) which delivers creamy tube tone while allowing the color of the instrument to shine through. A tube overdrive section adds “bite”, while the Vari-Q™ circuit provides modern active tone shaping. Thick, natural and balanced; the TBP-1 is an amazing device for creating great bass tone.
Fender® Vibratone 1x10” Rotary Speaker
Made to simulate the “Doppler effect” of the Leslie Model 16 and 18 rotary speaker units popular with organists, the Fender® Vibratone was designed to be used with a regular guitar amplifier. When the Vibratone is turned on, a special crossover filter sends the high and low frequencies to the main amplifer's speaker, while the midrange frequencies are sent to the Vibratone speaker which faces a motorized rotating drum. A two-speed control can be selected for slow, spatial chorused effects or fast, watery, modulated tones. This exact configuration is reproduced in AmpliTube Fender®. To accurately emulate the Fender® Vibratone we have been challenged to developed a new unique technology we dubbed VRM™ (Volumetric Response Modeling) that for the first time is able to physically emulate the real sound of a rotary speaker as it has never done before in software.
Fender® Blender™
A unique germanium fuzz/distortion pedal. With a tone unlike any distortion pedal on the market, the Blender™ is capable of a harsh fuzz effect, great as a tool for Psychedelic and Alternative Rock. Perfect for those who want to create instead of copying, with a bit of experimentation, this pedal can deliver a huge range of unique tones.
Fender® Phaser
A Classic analog Phase shift effect as heard on countless recordings since the 1970s. The rate control knob alternately illuminates blue and red at the same rate as the phase shifting.
Fender® Fuzz Wah
A combination of a Fuzz-style distortion effect and a Wah pedal, this is two pedals in one. Due to this combination, and its Fuzz>Wah / Wah>Fuzz selector switch, the Fender Fuzz Wah is capable of effects not easily achieved by traditional units.
Fender® '63 Reverb
First introduced in the early 1960s, this classic all-tube spring reverb unit is a must have accessory for all Surf players. Blues and experimental players love it, too. It’s presented here in stomp-box form instead of its original head-style unit. The Fender Reverb is capable of producing an incredibly lush or intense crashing Reverb effect due to its post-guitar, pre-amplifier signal path and unique tube driven output.
Fender® Tape Echo
A classic tape echo simulation, as seen in the Fender® Cyber-Twin®. The warmth and wobble of magnetic tape lent a wonderful ambience to the echo effects used on recordings of the last 50 years, and those sounds can be recreated easily with Amplitube® Fender®. The Tape Echo’s controls can also be manipulated for experimental lo-fi echo effects, bringing extra creativity to your playing.
Volume
A classic volume control. Use to control the volume of your guitar signal, or in conjunction with an overdrive/distortion pedal for dynamic control of your signal boost.
AmpliTube Fender® includes 6 post-amp rack effects taken from the Fender® Cyber-Twin® SE Amplifier: Pitch Shift, Tape Echo, Sine Flange, Triangle Chorus, Wah, and Compressor, increasing your tonal options and allowing you to shape your sound even further.
Fender® Pitch Shift
A pitch-shifting effect with both pitch-shifting and detuning effects. Use for both wild soloing and unusual detuned textures.
Fender® Tape Echo
The warmth and wobble of magnetic tape lent a wonderful ambience to the echo effects used on recordings of the last 50 years, and those sounds can be recreated easily with Amplitube® Fender®. The Tape Echo’s controls can also be manipulated for experimental lo-fi echo effects, bringing extra creativity to your playing.
Fender® Sine Flange
A classic flange effect for swirling, psychedelic jams or intense metal rhythmic playing.
Fender® Triangle Chorus
A chorus/doubling effect for thickening up your guitar’s tone. The Triangle waveform is especially effective with overdriven tones.
Fender® Wah
A dynamic auto-wah effect, controlled by how hard you play. Can add a funky, almost vocal vibe to your playing
Fender® Compressor
A classic compressor effect. Use to even out volume levels when playing for a studio-like tone, to accentuate finger-picking styles or to add sustain to chords or single notes, with or without distortion.
Intuitive interface - Enhanced DSP engine
AmpliTube Fender® interface presents a complete replica of included amps, effects and related controls that is immediately familiar to any guitarist. Every parameter adjustment is never more than 2 clicks away, making even the most complex guitar tone fast to set-up and edit.
The interface is supported by leading DSP modeling, which improves upon the already award winning sound of AmpliTube 2 to set a standard of realism. AmpliTube Fender® uses ultra-accurate modeling technologies developed by IK engineers with years of research in circuitry modeling: in addition to IK’s classic DSM™ or “Dynamic-Saturation Modeling” the VRM™ (Volumetric Response Modeling) technology has been developed to nail down even the finest sonic detail.
5 separate modules on 2 separate guitar rigs
Like AmpliTube 2, AmpliTube Fender® includes 5 individual components, with Tuner, Stomp pedal board, Amp Head, Cabinet + Mic, and Rack effects on 2 separate guitar rigs with 8 different series/parallel configurations. Up to 12 simultaneous stomp-boxes, 2 Amp Heads, 2 Cabinets with 2 Mics and 8 Rack effects can be configured and used simultaneously.
The massive number of resulting combinations allows for flexibility that’s a dream for any guitar player: two separate paths, each with a complete setup to be played simultaneously, or the incredible power to be able to double the available stomps amps cabinets and racks effects in one monstrous rig.
Standalone version with SpeedTrainer
The standalone version of AmpliTube Fender® sports the same features of the plug-in plus includes SpeedTrainer™: an integrated audio player that gives you separate pitch and speed controls for learning any of your favorite riffs by slowing tempos of guitar solos without changing the pitch. SpeedTrainer allows you to drag any WAV or MP3 from your hard disk (even iTunes files!) and set loop points easily for playing over and tracking your songs. An included metronome (set by BPM or Tap) is also very useful for the studying and practicing guitarist.
AmpliTube X-GEAR and StompIO seamless integration
AmpliTube Fender® also includes AmpliTube X-GEAR™ so it can be integrated with all current and future “Powered by AmpliTube” products within a single interface. X-GEAR provides full mixing and matching of over 200 award-winning gear models, and adds full MIDI and StompIO control for live usage. When used with AmpliTube X-GEAR, all the models from AmpliTube Fender® can be read together with AmpliTube 2, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™, AmpliTube Metal and Ampeg® SVX, to build the ultimate mega-rig of award-winning gear models and truly custom guitar and bass tones.
By utilizing AmpliTube X-GEAR, AmpliTube Fender® can instantly be controlled live via StompIO or StealthPedal for the ultimate tone rig, with no special set-up.
StompIO turns your computer into the most advanced, high-end floor multi-FX system, with 10 floor-board switches, 6 knobs, 2 large displays and up to 6 external switches/expression pedals, and no need to connect a monitor, mouse or keyboard.
Making Amplifier history
More than any other gear manufacturer Fender® has become synonymous with all things rock ‘n’ roll: from Buddy Holly to Eric Clapton, Pete Wentz to Sting to John Mayer and everything in between. Fender®’s iconic instruments and amplifiers are known the world over as the instruments that started the rock revolution.
The very first amplifier produced by Leo Fender and Clayton Orr Kauffman under the K&F brand was a 4 Watt amplifier made in 1945, to be used with the Lap Steel guitar, a popular instrument of the day. Fender® started making amplifiers under its own brand in late 1946, starting with the model 26; in 1947 three more models all based on the Model 26 appeared: the 8” Princeton, the 10” Deluxe and the 15” Professional.
The Champion™ 600 was a 1949 cream and brown “Naugahyde” finish student amp sold as part of a set with a matching Lap steel guitar. Although not designed to distort, due to development of more powerful guitar pick-ups such as those found in the Fender® Telecaster® and Stratocaster®, this unit was able to produce a saturated, distorted tone that made it a studio favorite. Not only that, but its volume control goes to 12!
The Fender® Deluxe™ was one of the first amplifiers designed by Leo Fender for his new line of Electric Solid-Body Guitars, excellent for recording or playing on stage with the tweed-covered variant that entered into production in 1952. This iconic amp covering is why the 1950s are known as Fender®’s “Tweed” era. Also from this period is the ‘59 Bassman®, considered one of the most versatile amps of all time, able to produce a variety of tones from crisp and clean to a saturated crunch.
Fender® started to convert to Tolex amp coverings in mid 1963, marking the introduction of their legendary “Blackface” amps. From that period the '64 Vibroverb™, the '65 Twin Reverb® and the '65 Deluxe Reverb®. Many of these “Blackface” amps were made pre-1965, when Columbia Records bought the company from Leo Fender, so they are also referred as “pre-CBS”.
Also from the mid 60’s to the early 70’s is the Fender® Vibratone, a Leslie-type rotary speaker cabinet capable of adding phasing and chorusing effect.
In 1985 CBS sold the company to a group of Fender® employees, which became known as Fender® Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC). Shortly after, Fender® started to reissue some of the pre-CBS era’s most legendary amps, as well as a new generation of amp designs worthy of the Fender® name.
The Amplifier Custom shop was established in 1993, making limited edition hand-wired amps for discerning pros and collectors. One of the first models produced was the legendary Vibro-King®, prized by players from Robert Cray to Pete Townshend, and the '64 Vibroverb™ Custom, based on vintage amps that “Amp Doctor” Cesar Diaz modified for Stevie Ray Vaughan.
In recent times, Fender® Musical Instruments Corporation has produced new models with channel switching, high gain overdrive, active EQ, and digital processing, continuing their tradition of legendary amp design. The Super-Sonic™, the MH-500 Metalhead™, the Cyber-Twin®, the TBP-1 bass preamp and the Bassman® 300 are prime examples of these innovative modern amp designs.
What’s new in AmpliTube Fender®
In the development of AmpliTube Fender®, IK Multimedia has taken an unprecedented approach to once again raise the bar in modeling accuracy in order to nail down even the finest sonic nuances of every piece of the included legendary Fender® gear.
The entire development process has been thoroughly supervised and sound-certified, step-by-step, by the tone gurus at Fender® to ensure that the same quality process of real gear tone-testing was followed strictly in the realization of AmpliTube Fender®.
IK’s exclusive technologies like DSM™ have been used extensively and pushed to the limit, and new technologies have been developed to achieve unprecedented sonic results in realism of guitar and bass gear models.
This historical cooperation has produced the most authentic recreation to date of the world’s most influential guitar and bass tones, right on your desktop.
All-stage-design in the modeling of both Amps and Effects. No compromises have been made for developing the Fender® models included in AmpliTube Fender®. Every stage of each of the included amps and effects has been modeled separately, leaving no room to approximation to achieve a truly hyper-realistic sound. Proprietary technology like IK’s DSM™ (Dynamic Saturation Modeling) has been pushed to the limit to raise the standard once again in recreating the included models.
Ultra-precise amp response down to the finest detail. The amps have been painstakingly studied, analyzed and reproduced with a maniacal attention to the very deepest detail: from the true potentiometers curves to the characteristic amp behavior at all sound levels. Having the sound of the real things on your desktop doesn’t get any closer than this.
Precisely matched reverb models. Each amp sports its unique on-board reverb model that has been modeled separately in order to closely mirror how the original corresponding amp sounds.
New rotary speaker technology: VRM™. To accurately emulate the Fender® Vibratone we have been challenged to develop a unique new technology we dubbed VRM™ (Volumetric Response Modeling) that for the first time is able to physically emulate the real sound of a rotary speaker as it has never done before in software.
Tailored to Fender® guitar and bass. During all testing the manufacturer has ensured that AmpliTube Fender® gives you the best tone when used with Fender® guitars and basses so its default response works perfectly out of the box when used with models like Stratocaster®, Telecaster®, Precision Bass®, etc…
