Music schools, conservatoires, multimedia libraries, schools, piano teachers, experienced or novice pianists, concert performers, can give the scores out freely for lessons, exams, homework, etc. without them being considered as photocopies.

Several possible uses

- When the software is installed in a teaching room, students will enjoy hearing pieces recorded by virtuoso pianists. Afterwards the teacher will of course be able to print the score for the student to work on at home.
- For music classes or taster lessons in elementary schools, high schools, conservatoires, etc. you will have an inexhaustible and pleasurable way to learn about music from the great composers. The teacher can print scores according to the work he or she would like each student to undertake–sight reading, explanation, etc. using the Audio.
- In any event, even if you are a library, you can have access to a complete collection which you can print as often as you like without it being considered as ‘photocopying’ since the pieces contained on Piano Scores Limited are within the public domain.
- Print the scores with exceptional graphics quality. Each score is from the first edition of the original work by the composer and has been fingered with care. To help you in your choice, each piece has been classed by composer or by level of difficulty.
- Export the MP3 file, also royalty free and without restriction, and interpreted by virtuoso pianists, to boost your DVD collection or to assist you in the preparation of listening programs for both you and your students.

What does ‘in the public domain’ mean?

The public domain constitutes a realm in which intellectual property is placed and for which, during the term of its protection, authorization is not required for the exploitation of the said property. IPE Music, in their capacity as editors of the collection of scores on offer, have therefore chosen to let you print and freely use, without restriction, the pieces on this DVD-Rom, all of which have come from the public domain.

Piano Scores Unlimited does not spell the end for music on paper, but it represents a modern solution for those who want to expand the size of their repertoire. It enables you to invest the majority of your spending in contemporary composers who, if they want to earn a living, need their pieces to be bought and played.

You can choose to:

Start by working on exercises from the collection: Czerny’s “Le Premier Maître du Piano Opus 599”, “Les Cinq Doigts Opus 777”, and “Les Etude”, Burgmüller’s “Studies” or the famous “Petit Livre” by Anna Magdalena Bach…

Sight read the scores from the definitive Piano repertoire: JS Bach’s “Well Tempered Clavier” or Clémenti’s “Sonatines”…

Interpret Chopin’s “Nocturnes”, “Preludes”, “Mazurkas” and “Waltzes”, Mozart’s more famous tunes (“Fantasy”, “Turkish March“, “Petite Sonate”) and “Sonatas”, J. S. Bach’s “Petits Préludes” or his famous “Fugues”, his “2/3 Part Inventions”, Mendelssohn’s “Song without Words”, Schumann’s “Album for the Youth” and “Scenes from Childhood”, Schubert’s “Musical Moment” and “Impromptus”, Debussy’s “Arabesques”, “Children’s Corner” and “The Little Negro”, and Scott Joplin’s “Ragtimes” to name but a few. From Handel, Schubert, Beethoven through to Tchaikovsky, Purcell, Couperin, Gounod and Scarlatti among others.

Each score is taken from the first edition or from the composer’s original work and has been fingered with care. To help you in your choice, each piece has been classed by composer or by level of difficulty.
