Question: What can I use to help me or my students sing better or more in tune?

Answer:

We have a few different programs that deal with singing. Singing Coach Unlimited is ideal for helping you to learn to sing in tune. In addition to singing lessons,you can import your own MIDI files and practice singing. It will evaluate your singing and show a graph outlining where you need to improve.

MusicLab Melody (and Harmony) is an excellent ear training program, with a number of modules, including sight singing. The great thing about the singing modules is that the program displays an on-screen tuner, to help you "tune" before you attempt the exercise. When you are done, it displays a graph showing the note(s) you were supposed to sing with solid lines, and the actual pitches you sang with dotted lines.

Auralia is a comprehensive ear training program that includes some singing using Pitch to MIDI technology.
