Band in a Box Tutorials...
The maker of Band in a Box, PG Music, has just released some free video demonstrations and tutorials of Band-in-a-Box. There's nothing better than video tutorials to help learn music software programs super-fast!

If you aren't familiar with Band in a Box, it is a great accompaniment program - all you need to do is put in some chords, select a style of music and some instruments and you have an instant back-up band. Band in a Box can also generate solos, harmonies and melodies for you!

Plug and Play with the FA-101
Edirol's new FA-101 FireWire audio/MIDI interface gives owners the benefit of "plug and play" - you don't have to worry about installing any drivers as we all know how much fun that can be on occasion!  A new Mac Core Audio driver for Panther users has just been released and "plug and play" on the Windows platform was already developed making this interface easy to install for both Mac and Windows users.

The FA-101 offers 10x10 24-bit/96kHz recording, stereo I/O 24-bit/192kHz playback,  zero latency direct monitoring and low-latency driver support. Perfect for any multi-track recording projects whether you are a professional or hobbyist - also ideal for you laptop musicians since the FA-101 is completely FireWire bus powered!

Free Band in a Box Tutorials
As much as I love Band in a Box, I have to admit that it isn't always the easiest program to learn to use. Part of the problem is that Band in a Box has so many features - it is amazing how much they can cram into one program!

There is help, however, such as the following video tutorials:
"Entering Notation in Band-in-a-Box"
"Using the Roland VSC3 with Band-in-a-Box"

These tutorials focus on Band in a Box 2004. If you haven't upgraded to 2004 yet, you can get all of the details on upgrading on our web site. If you don't have Band in a Box yet, but sure to check it out!
