If you have a MIDI pickup installed on your guitar, bass or violin, then performing live has never been easier. Connect your guitar to the AX 50, connect the AX 50 to your computer with a USB cable, and you’re ready to go - there’s even a Kontakt softsynth included to get you started.
The AX 50 is based on the same technology as the AX 100 MKII, its big brother. Differences include the USB connection and 4 virtual MIDI ports, making connections with softsynths and sequencers a breeze. This translates into a very functional and easy performance tool, and is equally adept in the studio. There are no sounds on board the AX 50, which means you do have to connect to a softsynth on your computer and/or to a hardware MIDI device, but this is probably preferable anyways, since softsynths these days are starting to surpass their hardware counterparts (at least in my opinion).
