An in-depth look at Project5’s DS864™ digital sampler
One of the key features in Project5 is the DS864 performance oriented, digital sampler. The DS864 is a “performance oriented” sampler for more reasons than just the fact that you can quickly load samples of virtually any format and start playing. The DS864 gives you immediate real-time access to parameters for controlling and changing your sound. All of the controls are right on the surface of the DS864 — that means no digging through menus to change a parameter. The sound sculpting tools it gives you are ample indeed.

- Create custom programs through a flexible, zoomable key mapping interface.
- DS864 allows you to visually create programs and drag splits to the desired points.
- Layer different programs to create complex voices.
- Samples can be key mapped and set to different velocity zones to create dynamic programs.
